Pam Custers

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist. I work integratively drawing from both Systemic and Psychodynamic approaches. Since obtaining my psychology degree I have worked in a number of organisations including Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services, School Family service and Relate where I have extensive experience in couple work and relationship issues. I work on both a short term and open ended basis.

My areas of special interest include relationship issues, couples work, family breakdown, stress, anxiety, self esteem and Addiction. I have a particular interest in elite sports people and others who are constantly in the public eye.

I have an Honours degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Relationship Therapy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Attachment and a Diploma in NLP.

I am fully insured and am a Member of BACP and AFT. I come from a corporate background and have worked in the Film industry. I provide a discreet and compassionate solution focused service.

Our Associates

Jo Knight

Jo works with young people and adults, and is an integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Relationship Expert with many years’ experience at RELATE. Her areas of expertise include phobias, stress and anxiety, fear, depression, addiction, menopause, life stages and personal development.

In schools, Jo works with ages 3 to 18 with a wide range of issues such as self-esteem, bullying, behavioural, anxiety and friendship issues. Jo is currently working as a resident young people’s therapist in both a high school and a junior school and also at Pam Custers & Associates. She has a special ability of making children and young people feel truly at ease whilst at the same time, being able to process the difficulties they face.

Annette Powell

Annette is an integrative Counsellor/ Psychotherapist with extensive experience working with individuals and couples around issues of relationship. Her areas of expertise include depression, stress and anxiety, burn out, work related issues, bereavement, addiction, personal development and events around life changes.

Annette uses a range of techniques including CBT and TA. Her approach to therapy draws on Person Centred, Psychodynamic and attachment based principles. This links into an individual style of relationships which are vital for our happiness and wellbeing. She is an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). Emma Shearley Sanders

Emma is an experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who has worked in private practice, educational settings, within the NHS and community counselling services. She is a member of the BACP and is committed to ongoing training to ensure she is well equipped to work with a range of issues and people.

Emma sees individuals who are experiencing a variety of problems, from relationship issues to depression, phobias/panic attacks and more long-term issues which have had a detrimental impact on their lives.

She believes that with increased awareness people are better able to make more effective choices to improve their wellbeing relationships and their life. Her fresh and insightful approach is highly regarded by clients.
